When did I get hooked?
Honestly, I don't use the word "stan" before, I simply use idolize, like or love, I heard the word maybe a few times but on different occasions. But when I started to get to know Aespa little by little, I seem to notice fans using the word widely. Like expressing the current music artists they're "stanning" and one of them is Aespa or just Aespa. Today I want to show you what's the first youtube video I watched with Aespa as the guest, for this, it's a variety show called " Weekly Idol". that was the month of June 2021.
I'm not sure how long this show is running, but the hosts' faces seem familiar, one of them is Eunhyuk from Super Junior, so I think I have seen some episodes from other groups before. Luckily, I watched this video with English subtitles already. Special thanks to the 1stonKpop YT channel.
It's not the first video I've ever watched with Aespa on it though. I already watched their music video for "Next Level" by that time, and I was planning to explore more of their discography maybe from their debut song which I'm not aware of the song title at first, until the next level.

In this 47 minutes or so the video I can say gave me some ideas on how versatile each member are, not necessarily from each other but as an individual. Whenever I start to invest my time in a certain person, no matter if he or she is an actress, musician, politician, comedian, in whatever form of art maybe he/she is part of, I always do consider that this person or group of person is also human just like myself.
Their imperfections, flaws is as beautiful as mine. Whatever words, phrases similar, that toxic people tend to make a big deal out of it even without evidence of sort or just a little support to their claims, I definitely won't give my effing care about. For the truth will always show itself no matter how hard or painful it is to take in. That's life and that's part of the investment of stanning. This is getting serious, Woah. Okay back to the video.

Btw, I just wanted to point out that I calculated everything from their expressions and their personal reactions, this virtual world that we're currently living in, limits us to whatever we can perceive so I'll just deal with it.
SKILLFUL AND TALENTED AESPA MEMBERS
Karina is fond of giving compliments to her members. The Host wanted to see how good Karina is giving an on the spot Kwang Hee compliment.
Ningning definitely is flexible. *By this time, I have the same reaction just like with the other members because this is the first video of Aespa I watched outside of their Music Videos.
Winter tried Kendo before and also she showed off this skill during the SMCU Black Mamba first episode. I was amazed with the cucumbers plus I laughed out loud with Kwanghee's reaction with the newspaper.
Giselle killed this with her precise acting skills. *I don't have a clue about what drama or this scene is from but one thing is for sure Gigi nailed it. This is originally part of Karina's talent but unfortunately, if you watch the full clip of this episode above Among the members Giselle has no talent/skills part of her own. That's why many fans commented or gave their feedback on this one but I'm thankful because I've seen Giselle acted alongside Karina with this video clip.
Personally, I was also shocked when I heard the host said"that for the last talent we have Winter" In my mind, I said wait what? I never saw Giselle's part but I go along with the video and it never came back to my sense again because maybe I'm thinking it's just about the edit, how did they finalize and cut it on their side. For me, I decided not to consider it a big deal.

AESPA GIVING HONEST REACTIONS
As Host Kwang Hee here tried doing the Black Mamba chorus dance. It gets so funny so Winter and Karina can't hide their laughter.
The same goes for NingNing who thought that this is Cute. *Variety show works like this, the program will try to get the best out of you and try to show it to the world.
HOW WELL DO AESPA MEMBERS KNOW THEIR CO-MEMBERs
I love how random they choose the emblems and match just like that! As you can see it's Karina who chose the Moon, I'm thinking this time this emblem represents Giselle in the group but it turned out to be The soulmate connection is with Winter. Ningning got the butterfly for Giselle, while Giselle got the heart for Ningning and Winter chose the Star.
My mind goes this way: Basing on the emblems without the Song Title connection
*Karina chooses the moon, but Giselle can be her soulmate, cause she's close to her while being opposite - Winter
*Ningning got the Butterfly, but if Giselle had it Ningning can be whimsical too!
*Giselle chose the heart which can be Karina if she has 0 balance and a shopaholic but not compared to Ning
*Winter is the only one for me choosing the perfect emblem for describing Karina
In short, There's no pattern in here, IT CAN BE ANYONE, it's unique and very random and I love it. It's my favourite part of the episode I can say. The way the members agree with each other and adding up the information you can see how they grow with each other since then and get to know their members.
Karina to Winter: Are you myself in the mirror? because... You are my soulmate who is just like me. Karina said in another interview, I can't remember exactly the episode's title but she mentioned that Winter has this cuteness that she also wants to have or try. *Karina may not know that she also has the unique type of cuteness she's radiating.
Ningning to Giselle: You are the most whimsical member. *I can see myself with Giselle with this one,
Ningning said that Giselle has these creative ideas that some people might misunderstand or find weird but Ning explained that these ideas Giselle gives are actually fun.
Winter to Karina: You are the number one member who voraciously loves the members I won't fight Winter with this one because this is pretty much obvious especially when it comes to there behind the scenes for Next Level and Forever music videos. *Karina is the Aespa leader but she doesn't put it in a way that it's only a responsibility, but she leads because she loves what she's doing and she loves the members by showing them support, love with the little things and cares with her own ways, in her own time.
Giselle to Ningning: 0 balance and loves to go shopping! The conversation between the host and Ningnig amazes me. I love how Ningning talks her mind with honesty. A variety show s episode like this makes me the happiest especially when it's your favourite idol group!

This is Eunhyuk's reaction when Aespa didn't include any Super Junior Songs to make a dance cover. I smiled the whole time while watching this portion. I can't with this awkward situation. hahaha *Ningning saves the day! Thank God! hahaha
In this video, the host applauded Aespa's amazing performances, the way their mood and expressions change from varying songs with different concepts are just the best!

Winter as a first timer in this game, shows how it is truly done! *I love her reaction as well as Giselle's. So chaotic! As a first-timer, I gave her an 8/10 for her reaction hahahaha
Final Round: Karina vs Giselle! *Raw Chicken as the final mystery is perfect! I applaud Weekly Idol for this. Eunhyuk's giving tips to Karina to were not to touch the Raw Chicken is so funny, even Ningning and Winter laughed it off!
+ AESPA MESSAGE TO FANS (MYs)
As a proud MY, this is the first time I heard AESPA's message to their fans. So this right here is one of my favourite messages. I'm truly glad I had the chance to watch this show first amongst the others. The fact that Aespa debuted last Nov 2020, as a fan I have so much to dive into because somehow I felt I was late to stan this amazing SM Rookies. I guess it's never really too late when we talk about Kpop.
It just hits you right? Right, where you didn't expect it. It comes naturally.
*The moment I started to open an Instagram account dedicated to Aespa I finally embraced wholeheartedly the word" Stan" Stanning because I feel that it fits perfectly to whatever I feel about the time that they became part of my happiness at that moment and for sure in the future!
