aespa's 'Supernova' tops Melon ∙ Genie Weekly Chart for 11 consecutive weeks! 'Armageddon' → and its predecessor 'Drama' ∙ and 'Spicy' all rank high! Proving their presence as a powerhouse in the music industry!
aespa's 'Supernova' has been a hot topic as it has been No. 1 on the weekly chart for 11 consecutive weeks.
'Supernova', the pre-release title track of aespa's first full-length album, topped the weekly charts of major Korean music sites Melon and Genie for 11 consecutive days (July 29~August 4), proving its unabated popularity even three months after its release.
Previously, 'Supernova' topped Melon and Genie's monthly charts in July, topping the charts for two consecutive months following last June, showing the performance of the biggest hit song in the first half of the year.
In addition, aespa confirmed their presence as a powerful music powerhouse by topping the charts not only with their other lead single 'Armageddon' but also with their previous works 'Drama' and 'Spicy'.
Thanks to this popularity, aespa has embarked on active global activities with their second world tour '2024 aespa LIVE TOUR - SYNK : PARALLEL LINE -' which started in Seoul in June, and they are proving their hot firepower by selling out all seats and adding more episodes.
Meanwhile, aespa will continue their second world tour at NTSU Arena in Taipei, Taiwan on 9~11.

Reporter Lee Jae-hoon = Supernova girl group 'aespa' has rewritten the Korean music chart record with their global hit song 'Supernova'.
According to their agency SM Entertainment on the 2nd, 'Supernova', the pre-release title track of aespa's first full-length album 'Armageddon', released in May, topped the weekly charts of major Korean music sites Melon and Genie (August 26~September 1) for 15 consecutive weeks.
In particular, it broke the record for the longest time at No. 1 on the chart in 20 years since Melon launched its service in November 2004. Until last week, aespa 'Supernova' was tied with NewJeans' 'Ditto' on Melon's weekly chart.
"Supernova" also held the No. 1 spot on Melon and Genie's monthly charts for three consecutive months from June to August.

aespa will release their second concert solo songs on October 9 ahead of their comeback.
'aespa Special Digital Single 'SYNK : PARALLEL LINE', which will be released on October 9 at 6 p.m. on various music sites, contains four solo songs by each member that aespa performed at their second concert.
Karina's solo song 'UP' is a hip-hop dance song featuring a catchy chorus and a minimalist track, and the lyrics that Karina wrote alone convey her confident and confident self-confidence to captivate everyone, while Giselle's 'Dopamine' is an R&B song with a complex and tender sensibility in which she acts as if she is not thirsty for love in order to hide her true feelings for the other person.

Sweeps top 5 of major Chinese music charts
aespa has properly fueled the comeback fever with their concert solo tracks.
aespa's second concert, released on the 9th at 6 PM, contains four solo tracks from each member of aespa's "aespa Special Digital Single 'SYNK: PARALLEL LINE," and is gaining huge popularity, with "UP (KARINA Solo)" topping the Bugs real-time chart and Melon TOP100∙HOT100, and all of the songs, including Dopamine (GISELLE Solo), Bored! Aespa’s Ningning opens up about the connection between music and fashion in a new campaign launching Versace’s holiday 2024 collection.
“I believe fashion and music are interconnected. Through music we can show what’s in our heart and express our style,” Ningning says in the campaign which takes viewers behind the scenes of her photo shoot for Versace’s holiday collection highlighting the newly released Kleio bag.

The first-ever Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA) has celebrated another day of awards!
This year, Ilgan Sports—the Korean newspaper that created the famous Golden Disc Awards and organized it for 24 years, from 1986 to 2020—launched a brand-new music award ceremony to honor the mainstream artists that shone bright over the past year.

According to their agency SM Entertainment on the 10th, aespa's first full-length album 'Armageddon' and the LP version of their fifth mini-album 'Whiplash' will be released on February 24, 2025.
At 12 noon on the same day, teaser content for the LP version of 'Armageddon' and 'Whiplash' was released through various official social network (SNS) accounts. In particular, a video of the redesign of 'WHIPMIXER', which had previously attracted attention for its ability to directly mix and download a part of the 'Whiplash' song, was also released as an LP player.
